KM:  Hi Will.  The last time we spoke to you we were talking about your band Hollow Intent.   Since then, you’ve taken on a whole new Project with Artistly.  Tell me a bit about Artistly.

 

WB: Artistly is a resource hub for artists and musicians to be able to access content that can help them along their career path for free ,or super cheap. 

 

KM:  When did you first think about putting Artistly together?

WB: I’ve thought about Artistly for a while, but wasn’t really sure how to implement it and make it user friendly. Now, even though things have been planned out, there’s a few things in the works, and it’s fun approaching some things on the fly.

 

KM: What separates Artistly from other similar business models?

​

WB: Artistly is designed to be music first. While you may see ads of “we do this” and so on from tons of companies, I could care less about the flashiness of it all.  I’ve felt, and still feel, the struggles obtaining GENUINE information in a massive sea of misinformation. This is truly designed and will continue to morph into a place where anyone of all levels in the industry, can stop by and poke around. I’m constantly asking other artists and musicians what they need, to help them figure out how to put that into the site. 

 

KM: How are you currently promoting Artistly?

WB: Currently, I’m promoting Artistly through just word of mouth. 

 

KM: Where do you envision Artistly a year from now?  Five years from now?

​

WB: A year from now, I will have a fully functional app, a more streamlined website, and even the opportunity to distribute music through Artistly. Five years from now, I’m open to just about anything, frankly. Any and all ideas are accepted!

 

KM: How are you finding the time to balance Artistly, Hollow Intent, and your day to day?

​

WB: It’s all about time management. Luckily right now, it’s all just networking and thinking of the future. Along with doing school full time, work, my band, and family, sometimes you just have to wake up and go to work while everyone else is asleep!
