Kreig Marks, the founder of this magazine, and founder of the Neuro Ortho Fitness Center of Asheville, was diagnosed in August with Interstitial Pulmonary Myositis Stage 2 (Pulmonary Disease at Stage 2) due to prolonged exposure to black mold years ago. 

​

A kinesiology Ortho/Neuro fitness specialist, Kreig has helped families and clients to live with their diseases, improve their balance, and coordination, move past fears, and live healthier lives. He has trained high-profile athletes and celebrities, has volunteered for United Cerebral Palsy and Habitat for Humanity, and done charity events for Parkinson's Disease.

On August 5th, Kreig began a 16 to 20-month medical treatment plan that has shown over 90% success during a 4-year clinical trial.  Unfortunately, the medication he takes daily is not yet fully FDA-approved or covered by insurance. The monthly cost is $7000.00 per month.  He is finished by April.
