Please read and help our Founder/Publisher, Kreig Marks

 

Kreig Marks, the founder of this magazine, and founder/lead trainer of the Neuro Ortho Fitness Center of Asheville, was recently diagnosed with Interstitial Pulmonary Myositis Stage 2.  This is a type of lung disease he is battling as a result of prolonged exposure to black mold several years ago. 

 

Kreig has been a key advisor to so many with ortho and neuro issues for over 30 years. He is a modest, caring rock star, helping to change lives. In fact, rock stars have called him up when they have had neuro or ortho issues.

 

For years, Kreig has helped families and clients live with their diseases, improve their balance, and coordination, move past fears, and live in healthier ways. He has trained high-profile athletes and celebrities, has volunteered for United Cerebral Palsy and Habitat for Humanity, and has given his time at Parkinson's events. 

 

Sadly, unbeknownst to us for years, there was a black mold infestation at Kreig's previous Florida fitness studio years ago. The biopsy revealed his lung disease as environment-related.

 

On August 5th, Kreig began a 16 to 20-month medical treatment plan that has shown over 90% success during a 4-year clinical trial.  Unfortunately, the 9 pills he must take each day are not yet fully FDA-approved and are not covered by insurance. The monthly cost is $5,400 per month.  Through an advocate working within his physician's office, they were able to secure the first 2 months of medication from the manufacturer.
