TRR:  Could you tell us about how your band formed and what inspired you to start making music together?

SD:  We were all friends in High School. It all started when we wanted to play at the talent show… after that, played a bunch of party’s and some local shows with a good amount of interest. We wanted to see what we could make of it.

TRR:  What would you say sets your music apart from other emerging rock bands today?

SD: Definitely our use of Latin rhythms and bilingual vocals. We feel we blend multiple aspects of all metal genres by using heavy groves and melodic passages.

TRR:  How would you describe your band's sound and style? Are there any specific artists or bands that have influenced your music?

SD: Latin Metal with a splash of reggaeton. We are influenced and inspired by many artist. Everything from Pantera, Sepultura, Deftones, Cypress Hill, Slipknot, Bad Bunny, Daddy Yankee, Korn, ILL Nino, Spirit Box, Killswitch Engage, SoulFly… the list goes on and on for sure.

TRR:  What has been the biggest challenge your band has faced so far, and how did you overcome it?

SD:  Being in a band, you have many challenges. Back in the day all you had to do was play and perform. Nowadays, you have to wear many hats. Manager, driver, repairman therapist, social media expert, content creator… but in our experience, it’s probably line up changes. Being in a busy band, touring, always in “ON” mode can sometimes be difficult for many people. You have to be a certain kind of crazy to be in a band. It’s a lot of commitment. Haha! You have to keep digging, clawing and scratching at it. Put your head down and keep working, get better everyday, no 0 days.

TRR:  Can you share a memorable moment from one of your performances or recording sessions that stands out to you?

SD:  When it was time to record our 2015 album “Devil Horns and Halos”, we recruited the talents of Producer Tim “Rumble Fish” Gilles. For 6 months we worked with him in developing the tunes for that record. He actually came down to Virginia on multiple occasions to work with us. Haha! He kicked our asses. He told us that we had a lot of work to do, still. It was a boot camp for sure. He ripped up down and then built us back up. It really showed us a lot about who we are as band members and just everyday people. We all had tons of difficult things going on in our lives at that time. (which always seems to happen when writing a record) We learned a lot! Upon all that, actually going to New York and to live in the studio for 3 weeks, working, living and breathing music and nothing else was an amazing experience we will never forget

TRR:  What are your short-term and long-term goals as a band? Where do you see yourselves in the next few years?

SD:  Short term? Definitely putting out more new music with our new producer Chris Anger. As far as down the road, we looking forward to getting on a few larger festivals and possibly getting to join some of our hero’s in the industry on stage and tours. We are always looking for new adventures! We have been doing this a while. We don’t stop.

TRR:  How do you approach songwriting as a band? Is it a collaborative process, or does each member contribute individually?

SD:  It usually starts with a riff and then we jam that live in a room together with drums and guitar to pick up on whatever vibe we are feeling. We try to get an idea to about 50-75% done before we ship it off the Tito (singer) for vocals. He will jive on it and we go from there. Building it as we go. But, we have definitely written songs in many other ways. Sometimes they come on the fly in the studio.
